From the large agricultural machinery supplier Vervaetfrom Biervliet we received a wonderful order; the overhaul of a total of 23 turbochargers. These turbochargers are installed on all kinds of agricultural machines.
Frans Vervaet B.V. from Biervliet in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen has a rich history. They have been operating in the agricultural market since 1957. The includes repairing refrigerators and mopeds to cars and tractors. Due to their specialism and expertise, they soon stood out and the company has grown into the large family business it is today. They build, among other things, high quality excellent and reliable beet harvesters and machines for processing manure. These vehicles are often equipped with large turbochargers and these also require maintenance.
Today, the first part of a three-part series of blogs; the arrival of the turbos at MasterTurbo and their inspection.
Upon arrival the turbochargers are unpacked and examined in detail. Are these turbochargers still usable or do they need to be replaced? In this case it was an overhaul and the turbos were again usable. When disassembling the turbochargers we look carefully at all the loose parts. Which parts are still usable and which are too damaged to function properly? After disassembly, the turbo is cleaned. At MasterTurbo this is done by using the Biocirle cleaning system, about which we have written a blog before. With this system, micro-organisms break down the dirt in a biological way. After cleaning all loose parts, they are again examined thoroughly for reuse.
Once all reusable parts have been collected, they are blasted to remove old layers of paint and varnish.
