At MasterTurbo, they know all about 'turbochargers'. A ReMan turbo, what is that?
In BorgWarner's video, this sustainable job is officially called the Turbocharger Remanufacturing Process. It doesn't sound simple and it isn't. It is not called not 'repairing', but remanufacturing, a kind of recycling, but with at least the quality of a brand new version.
A ReMan is a used turbo that is given a completely new, second life. Literally as good as new, in other words. First, the turbo is completely disassembled, the individual parts are cleaned in special equipment and expertly reassembled. Afterwards, the parts of the 'new' turbo are rebalanced, for the perfect and most efficient operation.
BorgWarner's experts also look at things like reducing CO2 emissions. After finishing this process, these ReMan turbos are ready for a second round!
