In the previous blog we read about the arrival and disassembly of the turbochargers from Vervaet, a large agricultural specialist in Biervliet. In the next blog we will take a closer look at the overhaul of turbocharger components.
After disassembly, the parts were completely cleaned and blasted to remove old paint and varnish. In addition to examining whether or not all parts can be reused, we also examine how any damage occurred. It is often thought that the turbocharger itself has failed and that damage has occurred as a result. However, this does not have to be the case. Turbo damage can also be caused by something else. For example, a clogged oil supply pipe or broken-off metal particles that have ended up in the turbo. After analysis, the customer will obviously be informed of the required work and a quotation will be provided. After approval, the complete overhaul starts.
After all parts of the turbo have been collected again, including any new parts, the turbo is reassembled. Here, craftsmanship and precision are used to assemble a turbocharger that functions as well as possible.
